Travel Grants

Travel Grants application closed

Limited financial support will be available for students, early-career scientists and NGO’s from developing countries to participate in the 16th ICMGP 2024.

Conditions for applying:

1. Identified as a student, early career scientist or researcher.
2. Candidate must be based in an eligible developing country, listed in annexure attached.
3. Candidate must have been accepted to deliver an oral presentation or poster at ICMGP 2024
4. Successful applicants may only receive partial travel grants (i.e. flights / and /or hotel accommodation, waiver of registration fee) depending on the number of applications received.

Application process

Applications for travel support must include the following:

1. Name and full contact details,
2. Current status (e.g. PhD student (please indicate year of study)/Post Doc/Research Associate/Professor),
3. Copy of Passport
4. A letter expressing the applicant’s research interests and interest in participating in the conference,(maximum of 600 words)
5. A supporting letter from the applicant’s adviser, supervisor, or organisation official and
6. An overview of expected expenses, including registration fee, airfare and accommodation.
7. An indication whether applicant can supplement a partial travel grant with own sources funding.
